New Zealand is the spiritual home of Adventure racing. The New Zealand A1 National Series is the strongest in the world and for 2024/25 there are four races spread across the North and South Islands, the final of which is True West with a new date of February 2025. It will double as the final race of the 2024 series and race 1 of the 2025 series.

The 2025 series then continues with Kaikoura Adventure Race presented by Tane Cambridge and Tim Farrant in April, followed by the Rangitikei Race in May, run by RD Kym Skerman, and Marakopa Munter directed by Matt Leash in November.
